If your airline is live-tracked, Jetlog puts the flight on your lock screen while it happens, using iOS Live Activities. It’s the same lock-screen surface as a live sports score or a delivery tracker, tracking your own leg instead.

You’ll see two cards over the course of a flight, never both at once.

The departure card

This appears first, roughly 90 minutes before scheduled off-blocks, and follows the aircraft from pushback through takeoff. Once airborne, the card doesn’t disappear: it settles into a lingering “Departed” state so you have a record of the takeoff time at a glance, without reopening the app.

The arrival card

A second, separate card takes over for the approach and landing. It appears around 30 minutes before the best available estimate for on-blocks, or immediately if touchdown or on-blocks has already happened by the time Jetlog would otherwise have shown it. It tracks touchdown through on-blocks (parked, chocks in).

The Complete prompt

Once the arrival card reaches on-blocks, it offers a Complete button. Tapping it deep-links straight into the entry so you can confirm the times Jetlog captured, a five-second check instead of reconstructing the flight from memory later. If you don’t act on it right away, nothing is lost. The entry keeps the times it captured, and you can confirm or adjust them whenever you next open the app.

Why no cruise card

There’s nothing on your lock screen for the hours in between, on purpose. Departure and arrival are the moments with something to say. Cruise isn’t, and a card with nothing new to show is just clutter to dismiss.

Live Activities only appear for automatically live-tracked flights. Manually entered flights and other airlines won't produce a lock-screen card. See How automatic flight tracking works for coverage details.
